contemplations...

Been reading a great book - "Thriving as an Artist in the Church" by Rory Noland... I will prob. be posting lots about this - as I continue to read it. It is in fact one of the most genuinely helpful 'ministry resource' books I've ever read. (very practical and very helpful)

This morning I was reading about having confidence as an artist. Balancing humility and confidence is something I personally struggle with. And I felt the author laid out, what I'll shorten to two points, which helped me considerably. What talent I have is not mine. We all know this right - but it's much harder to maintain this concept within our lives. Rory said to:
A. remember the talent i have is not mine. This provides the humility we need -

but to

B. remember that we need to use what talent we do have to the best of our ability so God can use what is his to begin with.

This is my challenge for myself this week- (well, and for a while) to continue to let God teach me how to use what He has given me to his greatest glory but with a well balanced sense of rememberance of where that talent comes from to begin with.

Dont mind me with my 2 cents, god has given many gifts, Sure you might have moments that slow you down, but then again you have moments like you did wednesday night, taking time out and thinking of others, actually praying for others. Then again you chose to soon bring another life in this world. Again you chose to live the awesome life you live this very day. Rock on.. God has and will contiune to give you the tools that you need. Your Blessed!
